AVAILABLE FOR: Adoption/Foster to Adopt
BORN: June 2020
BREED: Border Collie/Hound Mix
WEIGHT: 45 lbs.
MARL ARRIVAL: Lucy was brought to MARL as a stray.
BACKGROUND: Meet Lucy! This sweet girl has made fast friends with all the MARL staff and volunteers, and we're sure that she will be excited to meet you too! Though she only has three legs, it doesn't slow her down at all and she enjoys playing with other dogs, romping in the yard and going on daily adventures. She's always sure to pencil time for her favorite people in her busy schedule and is quick to give kisses and hugs. We know Lucy will make an awesome companion for someone lucky, could it be you?
COMPATIBILITY: Based on our evaluation, we feel that Lucy has the potential to get along with other dogs. Lucy would do best in a home without cats.
MEDICAL NEEDS: Lucy is a tripod but requires no medication at this time. Lucy has also tested positive for Heartworm Disease and is looking for a foster/foster to adopt home while she goes through her treatment. Heartworm Disease is not contagious to other animals or people. Lucy will need to be kept on medication that MARL will provide and brought to MARL for health check ups once a month until she has been cleared. If you have questions regarding Lucy or her treatment, please give our front desk a call at 248-335-9290.Apply for Adoption
