BREED: Catahoula Leopard Dog/Boxer Mix

MARL ARRIVAL: Turnip was brought to MARL as a stray.

BACKGROUND: Looking for a dog to accompany you on all your outdoor summer adventures? Meet Turnip! This beautiful lady loves keeping busy with fetch, fetch, fetch—and who can blame her with this beautiful weather? She’s a fun lady who also appreciates her favorite people and has no problem hanging out with them for some one on one time. All she needs now is a chance. Do you have room in your heart and your home for a dog like Turnip?

COMPATIBILITY: Based on our evaluation, we feel that Turnip has the potential to get along with other dogs. Turnip would do best in a home without cats.

MEDICAL NEEDS: Turnip has tested positive for Heartworm Disease and is looking for a foster/foster to adopt home while she goes through her treatment. Heartworm Disease is not contagious to other animals or people. Turnip will need to be kept on medication that MARL will provide and brought to MARL for health check ups once a month until she has been cleared. If you have questions regarding Turnip or her treatment, please give our front desk a call at 248-335-9290.
